Artist Statement 2013

A long time ago I started to photograph the pools that I swam in in the places that I visited. Lapland mimics the shape of the line marking found at the bottom of a 25-metre lap lane pool. This kind of pool is known as a ‘Short Course’ in contrast to the ‘Long Course’ Olympic pool. The short course has been realized in order to take advantage of the unique shape of Articulate Project Space.
